Aligner Therapy (such as Invisalign®) utilizes a series of clear, removable aligners which are very difficult to detect upon smiling. Being they are removable, the patient is able to eat anything they want during treatment, as breakage is not a concern. Routine brushing and flossing habits are unaffected. However, aligner therapy works differently than conventional orthodontics appliances and is therefore not suitable for every orthodontic problem.

Each aligner is worn for 2-4 weeks before progressing to the next aligner in the series. Treatment time is usually somewhat lengthier than treatment with conventional orthodontics and patient compliance is key. Many companies manufacture aligners and Dr. Pincofski has been certified by Invisalign®.
