Your First Orthodontic Visit

Many practices today employ "treatment coordinators" to speak with you about your care. In our practice, Dr. Pincofski will sit down with you in an unhurried atmosphere and discuss the diagnosis as well as all possible treatment options (exploring their "pros" and "cons" to aid you in making an informed decision). "I am especially grateful for the openness with information about treatment." Emphasis is placed on communication between doctors, staff, patients, and parents. "My questions are always answered fully and I never felt embarrassed to ask them. All of your patients are treated with respect."

Special attention is given to the smallest of details, so that we may provide care which exceeds our patients' expectations. "Dr. Pincofski's office and professionalism is by far ahead of the other healthcare professionals I visit; the entire staff gets an "exceeds expectations" from me!"

Initial Complimentary Exam

This first visit is designed to inform you of existing conditions/problems in the mouth and their effect on health, and appearances. This appointment can last from 15-30 minutes.

This appointment involves:

  • Assistance on completing medical/dental forms
  • A private conference with Dr. Pincofski to discuss yours goals/concerns regarding orthodontic treatment.
  • A thorough visual exam of the mouth to establish what treatment is needed and when. [If it is too early to begin treatment, periodic recall exams will be performed at no charge.]
